Arrival/Dismissal

Thank you for partnering with us to keep Heritage students safe as they arrive and depart from school.  Here are the key points you need to know about the arrival and dismissal process.

• School hours are 7:55-2:55 M-F
• The front doors will open at 7:30   
• Students arriving between 7:30-7:45 will report to the cafeteria for breakfast or the gym
• Students arriving after 7:45 will go directly to their classroom.  The tardy bell rings at 7:55.
• Do not drop students off before 7:30 am as there is no adult supervision.

Bus

• Buses will drop off and pick up at the front of the building on Prairie Trail Pkwy. 
• Cars should not drop off or pick up in this lane between the hours of 7:30-8:00am and 2:45-3:15pm as it is reserved for buses.

Car Line

• Parent pick up and drop off will occur in the parking lot on the west side of the building.  Cars will stay in the car line that runs the perimeter of the lot.  Once your car reaches the area between the drop off zone signs, your child should quickly enter or exit the vehicle.  Parents should remain in their cars for a speedy transition.
•  If you need to walk your child to the door, please park in the lot and walk your student using the crosswalk.  All students walking through the lot must be with an adult at all times.
• The parking rows run from west to east.  They are one way lanes.
• When exiting the lot, all cars will need to make a right hand turn onto Prairie Trail Parkway.  This practice will keep the car lane moving quickly.
